Charter Oak Review: "Good siding, bad faucet surrounds"
Name: ds hooverLocation: kansas city, missouri
Vinyl Siding Satisfaction Rating:
We have had Charter Oak siding for 14 months, and are happy with it, other than the very poorly designed faucet surrounds. They fit so closely to the faucet that we cannot attach a hose. Our contractor brought us diverters that extend the faucets so that we can attach hoses, however all of them drip/leak now, with all the attachments. When we complained to the contractor, he said "every one of my clients complains about this, and we tell the manufacturer, but they never change the design. It would seem like a simple fix"

Charter Oak Review: "Attractive and Durable"
Location: Mechanicsburg, PAVinyl Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I have had vinyl siding installed on my house now for approximately 8 + years. I've loved it. I find it very easy to clean (I spray it down with a pressure washer in the summer) and I find that it maintains a mostly clean appearance year round. Maintaining a clean look was hard before I got the vinyl siding and still had wood paneling on my house. The only suggestion I can make to potential buyers is to make sure they buy slightly more then they need in the event that it is somehow damaged in the future. In my case I had a section damaged by my sons BB gun. Luckily, I was able to have a contractor repair it rather cheaply (under $50) with a spare bit of siding that had been left over. The durability has been incredibly, I live alongside a creek which causes all sorts of debris and other particulates to come into contact with the siding at times and it shows no worse for the wear! A definite selling point! I would recommend the siding to my friends.
