HardiePlank Review: "The greatest cement siding in the world"
Location: Houston, TXCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I had to replace the siding on my house so I chose to go with a Hardy Plank siding. On the front of my house I put up some cedar shingles and I guess they work alright but stuff tends to live in there. I much prefer my Hardy Plank siding because it cost the same to cover three quarters of my house with hardy plank as it did to cover the rest with cedar shingles. That is what is so great about Hardy Plank siding is it is durable and cheap. I have had it on now for about two years and I haven't even needed to pressure wash it. I painted it one time and the paint hasn't even began to peel. I have to say this siding is simply the best I have ever had. If you want the best you need to buy the best and cheapest, that is Hardy Plank siding.

HardiePlank Review: "Cement siding is so durable"
Location: Nashua, NHCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I purchased a multi-family home about 10 years ago and had to reside the entire house. I decided to go with cement siding considering the major benefits in using this type of material, mainly it's durability and lifespan and usefulness in the norther New England weather. I had family friends help me install it and it wasn't as difficult to install as I was originally anticipating. I have had to repair only a few shingles that were damaged by a falling tree limb but that wasn't too difficult to repair. The hardest part was just cutting the cement shingles but even that wasn't much of a chore. I would recommend this brand again as it looks almost the same as when it was installed a decade ago and I hope to never have to install siding on this house again. It may be a little more expensive than alternative options but I certainly feel like I made the right choice.

HardiePlank Review: "Hardi-Panel, the Perfect All-Weather Siding!"
Location: Anza, CACement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
My husband and I purchased Hardi-Panel cement siding for our new house we are building, and in the 5 years we have used it, we have been extremely satisfied with it! It is a highly durable product that can handle the harsh climate we have here. No matter what the weather (and we get it all, from below freezing with snow to 115 degrees in the shade!) Hardi-Panel withstands it all. Another thing we love about Hardi-Panel is that it is easy for us to install ourselves. My husband and I are the "general contractors" of our project, and together we have cut, carried and hung each piece of Hardi-Panel, with professional-looking results! I also like the fact that it serves as additional fire protection in case of wildfires. And the price is very reasonable and totally worth every penny. All-in-all, Hardi-Panel is a great product; practical, durable, workable, and affordable. I would absolutely recommend it, and would definitely use it again on future building projects!

HardiePlank Review: "My experience with cement siding"
Location: Ft Pierce, Fl.Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
Several years ago, my wife and I decided to build a house for her mother. Being a carpentry contractor, I did most of the work myself. Unfortunately, my mother in law passed before we could move her in, so my wife and I moved in ourselves. Having done my share of rotten wood repairs, I decided to have no exposed wood on the house. When it came to the siding, we went with HardiPlank lap siding. I installed it approximately seven years ago and it is holding up extremely well. In fact, three hurricanes came through our area the year we moved in, with no loss of siding. It was very easy to work with. I purchased a specialized siding cutter which resulted in a ‘no dust' job. The only down side to this product is the dust it produces when cut with a circular saw, but the proper blade and a good dust mask will take care of that. After about three years after installation, I had a small hole to repair caused by a large rock being thrown at it. I found that automotive body filler works extremely well with small repairs. It dried quickly, sanded well, and even could be textured to match the surface. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. I am very satisfied with its workability, long life, and appearance.

HardiePlank Review: "In the middle"
Location: Kansas City, MOCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
In the middle Before my house with wood siding I had a house with cement siding, it was hardy board brand. I liked the look and the durability was decent. It was more durable than wood siding, but not as durable as steel siding. I disliked the price of the siding, it would have been a better deal to get steel siding. I would recommend this to a friend's but I would let them know the downfalls of the siding. The siding is better than wood but not as good as steel. It didn't take as much maintenance to keep it up as wood did, but it took more than steel siding. The siding would be perfect for an area that doesn't get harsh hail storms. I happen to live in an area that gets storms and tornadoes so most of the year it is ok, but occasionally ill get a storm that damages the siding.

HardiePlank Review: "Siding Damage Caused by Pets"
Location: Shreveport, LACement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I've owned my house for three years and it came with fairly new James Hardie fiber cement siding. The siding was in very good condition and I love the color so we did not replace it when we made other repairs and changes to the house. I love the natural look of the siding and how neat it is. It has a high quality look to it. We have had to make several repairs to the siding due to damage caused by our rambunctious dog and the siding is easy to repair and can be purchased at our local home improvement store. Overall, the siding is very hardy and the dog has had to really work hard to tear it up! It withstands her attacks really well. If we ever decide to replace the current siding on our house or if we remodel or add a room onto the existing house, we'll certainly consider using James Hardie cement siding again!

HardiePlank Review: "Hardie Plank Siding"
Name: DJ MillerLocation: Tukwila, WA
Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
This siding looks great, has a real nice wood-like grain. Owned it for just over 3 years and has not needed any paint, shows no fading, and has no areas of warping. Not bad for the rainy environment of the Pacific Northwest. I have no reason to change it for a long time and would certainly recommend it to others.

HardiePlank Review: "Better than wood"
Name: Michael BellancaLocation: Fort Worth, Tx
Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I was looking for something that would outlast wood. Hardi plank is harder to work with than wood, but once it is up all you have to do is paint it. It has a wood type finish to give it a real wood look. I would use this again in a heartbeat.

This siding started to crack and peel only three months after installation. It swelled and crumbled around the window trim.
