HardiePlank Review: "James Hardie Fiber Cement Siding Holds Up in All Weather Conditions"
Location: Vicksburg, MICement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
In the Summer of 2008, I had James Hardie fiber cement siding put on my home. I decided to get their pre-finished color plus siding in the Sail Cloth color. My wife and I had a local contractor install the product for us, and we have been very happy with their work. We have been through some really bad weather, including hail storms, high heat, freezing cold, snow, wind, etc., and when other people have had damage to their vinyl or aluminum siding, ours has held up perfectly. In the spring of 2010, there was a major hail storm in our area, and nearly every home in our county needed a new roof and siding. We did need a new roof, but our fiber cement siding held up and looks just like it did when it was installed. We are very happy with our choice of James Hardie siding, and would definitely recommend it to others who may be considering fiber cement. You do pay a bit more up front for it, but it holds up much longer than other siding options that are available.

HardiePlank Review: "All About Cement Siding"
Location: Grand Rapids, MICement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
About three years ago my wife and I moved out of our small cramped apartment and into a nice little house in the suburbs. We loved our whole house except for the basement. We did not like the basement because it was a very ugly basement and it also flooded often. But we found the solution to this problem in HardiePlank cement siding. I love how this cement siding looks and how durable and strong it is. There is absolutely nothing I do not like about it. Also, in the three years we have never had to replace any of the cement siding. If any of my friends asked I would most defiantly recommend this brand to them because it worked very, very well for me. In fact one of my friends did ask me what kind of siding I had bought and when I told him he actually got some of his own siding for his new home. He, like me, seems to love it.

HardiePlank Review: "Glad we chose Hardie"
Location: Seattle, WACement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
We built an addition onto our 1941 home three years ago and decided to re-side the entire house rather than do just the addition part. Since the rest of the house had old vinyl siding layered over even older (and very rotten) wood siding, we wanted to go with something that would stand the test of time but leave us options for color change, which the vinyl siding did not. We like that the HardiePlank is flame-resistant, and our homeowners insurance likes that as well. We also liked how durable the siding is - three years later it looks as good as when it was installed. With kids and pets running around the yard, it is important that products continue to look good year after year. The siding is easy to clean and the paint is perfect. We like knowing that we can repaint if/when we want, rather than being 'forced' into painting wood siding to keep it from deteriorating. Based on our experience we would not hesitate to recommend HardiePlank to our friends. It is beautiful and durable.

HardiePlank Review: "Review of my house's James Hardie "Hardieplank" cement siding"
Location: Apollo Beach, FLCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I have had my house for 7 years. When I built my home I chose to use James Hardie brand Hardieplank cement siding. I have been relatively happy with my choice my siding has stood up well over the years to Florida hurricanes and tropical rainstorms. My cement siding still looks new and is strong. I have had only a few problems with it, a few years ago we had a bad storm which did a small amount of damage to the cement siding which cost a couple of thousand to repair. The storm was very strong and I was worried there was going to be more damage, but the siding held up nicely and the repair cost was relatively low. There was only a small section that needed to be replaced and it was an easy repair. Overall I have been very happy with my choice of cement siding and would have gone with James Hardie brand again if I had to do it over. My siding is great quality, looks nice and was affordable.

HardiePlank Review: "Cement is the way to go for your home siding!"
Location: Stuart, FLCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
We built our home 9 years ago and we elected to go with the cement siding. Mainly because we live in Florida and termites seem to be a potential problem down here and with the humid and hot muggy summers we thought that the cement siding would better endure the elements. Wood can always rot, and like I said, the elements are conducive to that. So I like that it has a reputation of being durable, and so far it has held it's own. I really don't have any complaints about it, we haven't had any problems, so there isn't anything negative to say. I mean, just keep it clean and I think it would always look good. I also am very satisfied with the James Hardie brand that our contractor recommended. He said it is very popular, actually one of the leaders in cement siding. So overall, I'm happy he recommended it. I would use it again if presented with that opportunity and thus, I would recommend it to my friends and family. Actually I have, and I believe my mother will be using the same if she ever follows through on her plans to build a home up north.

HardiePlank Review: "Cement Sidings for the Win!"
Location: Grand Rapids, MICement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I really love my new HardiPlank sidings! Complete installation was finished about one month ago and I believe that I have made a great choice and went with a quality brand. The HardiPlank siding I had installed is a mixture of cement, fiber, and other minor ingredients and it imitates the look of stucco. I have heard from a friend of mine, who also recently had his sidings done, that HardiPlank sidings are very durable and weather resistant. I can definitely say that he is absolutely correct because they seem to be holding up very well here in Michigan where it snows all the time! There is no indication of damage or wear and everything looks great. Although this type of cement/fiber siding can be significantly more expensive than vinyl, it is still less expensive than most wood sidings and appears to be well worth the money. I would recommend HardiPlank to anybody looking to redo the exterior of their home. I am confident that it will remain in like-new condition for years to come!

HardiePlank Review: "Excellent experience with Hardiplank Siding"
Location: Seattle, WACement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I've owned Hardiplank wood siding for a little over nine years, and ever since my home was constructed. The siding has proven itself to be extremely durable and attractive over the years while other brands in my neighborhood have required much more maintenance. My siding has not required any painting or maintenance whatsoever in the time that it has been on my house, even in a very wet climate. It has exhibited very little color fade over the years, and I don't plan on needing to repaint my house for several more years. If it were to fail in some way I'm also reassured by the fact that it is backed up by a very comprehensive warranty. I have no complaints about the siding at all, and would certainly buy the same brand again if the need should arise; furthermore I would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase wood siding and have recommended it to family members in the past.

HardiePlank Review: "Review of my cement siding"
Location: Salt Lake City, UtahCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I have recently got cement siding for my home. I have only had it for about four months. I have been fairly satisfied with it so far. I really like the way it looks and the texture of the cement. I like that it is fairly low maintence. The only thing I dislike about it is sometimes it can have a rough texture to it and if you brush against it you can get a little scrape. Also, it gets dirty fairly easily. But it is also very easy to clean off. I have never had to repair or replace any of it. Although, I have not had it very long. I don't anticipate having to anytime in the near future. I would recommend this brand to a friend. I have been very pleased with it. I had a friend that recommended this brand to me and I am glad that I chose it. It is very simple and affordable. I have really enjoyed having cement siding. I would not consider having any other type of siding on my house from now on.

HardiePlank Review: "Great Cement Siding"
Location: Denver, COCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
We have owned our home for over five years and that is how long we have had our current cement siding. We really like our siding and think it is high quality. It holds the color and paint very well, and has held up perfectly in rough weather of snow, hail and rain. It also installs quickly and easily. It also looks great from the street. Probably the only thing we don't like about it is that some of the nail can be seen where it was installed. We have not had any problems with it and have not had to repair or replace it yet. We haven't even had to repaint the house. We would definitely recommend this brand to a friend as it has performed well for our house, and we know this brand is well known. We would definitely recommend using cement siding over stucco or vinyl siding.

HardiePlank Review: "Authentic look, easy to maintain and install"
Location: Moscow, IDCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
After installing cement siding on part of my home two years ago, I couldn't be more pleased. It is an extremely close match to the original (historic) siding (indistinguishable from more than two or three feet away), and has required little maintenance. I am a building professional, and I've installed all types of siding including metal, vinyl, and several different wood configurations. While cement siding isn't the easiest material to install having a few specialized (but inexpensive) tools makes all the difference, and the look and nearly maintenance-free result is well worth it. James Hardie also provides great printed and online installation and application guides, so educating yourself is easy, and the job will go smoothly.
