HardiePlank Review: "My views on cement siding"
Location: daytona beachCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
We have had hardiebroard siding on the gable ends of our home for over 10 years now and I must say that tis is the first time I've thought about it. So as far as I'm concerned it is a quaility product. It wears well with a simple pressure wash and hods the paint very well with no chips or cracks in over 5 years. It was simple to install with the right sawblade (you must get a cement broard saw blade). The weather gaurd is very efficent and we have no leaks. Remember we went through 3 hurricanes one year and the siding never wavered or leaked I would defently recommend this produce to all comers. The only thing that I don't like about it is the jasmine that grows on the side of my house take root on very easy and leave little foottprints when you pull them down. All in all this is a superior product

HardiePlank Review: "Hardiplank Siding"
Location: Orange, TxModel: 9008120
Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
We purchased our new home through Tony Houseman. The home that we purchased came with the hardiplank siding. We have been very satisfied with the siding. We have owned this house for about 5 years now. We have not had any problems with the hardiplank siding. This siding is very strong compared with vinyl siding. We learned that it withstands hurricane force winds, high heat and humidity. We live in southeast Texas and since living in this house have been through 3 hurricanes. So we have seen it for ourselves. In our neighborhood there are many homes with vinyl siding. All of these homes lost at least a part of the siding in the hurricanes. We were happy for us that was one less thing to worry about. The hardiplank siding resist flame spread, cracking and rotting. It can be painted any color you like. We just recently painted our home for the second time in 5 years. Another great thing about it was it came with a 30 year warranty. The only conn I would say is it is more expensive than vinyl and is slower to install. They do recommend to have a professional install hardiplank siding.

HardiePlank Review: "Average Cement Siding"
Location: EdmondsModel: Sierra 8
Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
My HardiePanel siding is just like any other siding that I have had before. Nothing on it really makes it stand out and I've had it for about seven or eight months now. I like that it is dependable, but I dislike the price I had to pay for it and the one or two repairs that I have had to make. Admittedly, these two repairs that I had to make were mostly because of the harsh and unexpected weather conditions; I would recommend it to a friend because although there is nothing too extraordinary about it, it is mostly reliable and this can be hard to find with many types of cement siding. If you were to get cement siding for your home, you could go much worse but you could also get better; mostly it depends on the amount of money that you're willing to spend on your cement siding.

HardiePlank Review: "Hardy Plank Siding"
Location: lake charles, louisianaCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I have recently built a home and finished the outside of it with Hardy Plank siding. This siding can be confused with vinyl siding until one steps up to it or notices a piece that is cut. It is made of cement and is very durable and also is a great insulator for the home. This cement siding comes in a variety of colors or you can get it already primed and paint it the color that you want your home to be. It comes in planks like vinyl but when put up it is caulked and sealed and allows for no air to come through. After being in a brick home and then building a home with this siding I was very impressed on how durable it is and how it helped on insulating my home. If one were to hit a brick with a hammer there is a very good chance that the brick would break, this is not the case with Hardy Plank. This siding is more expensive than brick and vinyl but you do get what you pay for. I have talked to many of friends and had them install this on their new homes and they feel the same way that I do about this. They are very pleased with it and would also recommend it to anyone who is building or remodeling their existing home. Overall I would rank this number one on my list simply for the facts that I have listed above. This siding is also very easy to clean and it does not have to be cleaned every year like vinyl.

HardiePlank Review: "Very happy with HardiePlank siding"
Location: NE OklahomaCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
We have owned our home for a year. Our previous home was brick, and had been painted by the previous owners. The new house has HardiePlank cement siding. We could not be happier with it. The color of the cement siding is uniform over the whole house, so we know it has not faded in the years since the home was built, and have high hopes that it never will. Maintenance is also fantastic. The north side of the house gets no sun, and mold tends to grow on those surfaces, but all it takes is a few minutes with a pressure washer (it doesn't need to be a heavy-duty, commercial model) and the house looks like new. We could not use a pressure washer on our brick house - we tried when we first moved in, but found that it loosened the paint from the brick and sometimes chipped away pieces of mortar. The only siding repair we have needed to do is filling a few holes that were left by the previous owners. The holes were all small and it was not a difficult process; we used a silicone caulk to fill them, had our local home improvement store color-match a small can of paint, and applied a single coat over the repair. We love that our cement siding is impervious to insects, weather, and just about anything that we can throw at it (literally, at times, thanks to our four kids). It should not need to be painted, certainly not any time soon. We're confident that we will enjoy it for many years to come, and would not hesitate to recommend our HardiePlank siding to anyone who was thinking about making the investment in cement siding.

HardiePlank Review: "HardiePlank is the Only Quality Siding I Trust"
Location: Waverly, ALModel: Beaded Cedarmill Lap
Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I have lived at my residence for almost a year now and I have never had such durable siding. I am so used to my vinyl siding on past houses getting dented or needing replacement. It rains and is windy a lot at my house and I never have to worry much about the siding getting broken or deteriorating. My favorite parts of the siding are the beautiful nature of how exterior paint goes on it so smoothly and that you can power wash the siding without worrying about it breaking. I have never had to repair or fix anything with it, maybe an occasional touch up for pain that one of my contracters missed, but no problem with the actual Hardie product. I really do not have any bad things to say about it, I am thoroughly satisfied with it. I recommend this siding to all my friends that are either looking for a house or planning on building. This would really help in their long term investment in a house, as HardiePlank has an incredible 30-year warranty.

HardiePlank Review: "HardiePlank Lap Siding Really Is Hardy"
Location: Albany, ORModel: HardiePlank Lap Sidinig
Cement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
The HardiePlank Lap Siding came with the house when we bought it new 10 years ago. The siding itself, after 10 years of use, look as good as the day it was installed. There is hardly any maintenance work that had to be done, with the exception of caulking the butt joints every other year. I believe that the new method of installation actually requires a flashing behind the butt joints so that even this maintenance step is no longer required. Because we had the basic siding and not the Color Loc type, the siding actually had to be painted. Some people see this as a disadvantage, while I actually like to be able to paint my house. If I decide to give my house a fresh makeover, I could just change the color! I like how the siding has withstood Oregon rain. It really is hardy! I would definitely recommend this siding to other homeowners. Two thumbs up!

HardiePlank Review: "Our Wonderful Remodel"
Location: Roseburg, ORCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
We have had cement siding on our house for 4 years now. We were having a problem with the cedar planks on the front of the house attracting termites, spiders and bees. We switched to the cement siding and have had no problems since. Our install went fairly simple since we had a nailer for it. We liked how fast the install went also. The only downside was, when it is cold it fairly hard to get a nail into the edge w/o cracking. We were so pleased with it that when we did our remodel we completely redid our whole house. We would definitely buy and recommend cement siding to a friend. Thank you

HardiePlank Review: "Satisfied with Cement Siding."
Location: Albany, NYCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I built my house with James Hardie cement siding about 10 years ago and I love how it's held up. Specifically, it's held up well to bad weather showing very little deterioration and the color has lasted long (it's still vibrant and looks new). I'd have to say the only thing I didn't like about it was that it was somewhat expensive. But honestly, it seems worth it. We've never even had to repair it. I would definitely recommend James Hardie. Thank You!

HardiePlank Review: "Sturdy, and reliable"
Location: Kansas City, MOCement Siding Satisfaction Rating:
I have owned my Hardy Board cement siding for 5 years. I like that the siding is very durable, and resists damage from the elements. I dislike the price of the siding; it is pretty expensive, although I do believe yi got what I paid for. I have never had to repair any of the siding it has never had a problem. I would buy this brand again, and would recommend it to my friends. The siding although expensive is very durable, and will most likely out last the cheaper brands of siding. The only thing I would change about this siding is the price, but obviously it costs a lot to be made and the companies can't lose money selling their products. This siding has held up to many years of rough weather and I believe it has several more years left in its life. I am genuinely happy with this siding.
